I'm Back - sort of

I know - it's been awhile since I posted - and thank you to those of you who checked in with me by email while I was absent.

We're back in the city ......... and I am glad... it was a rough summer for me... mostly cause the weather didn't cooperate - lots of rain and cold temps.

Last week the lil one turned 9!! and she had 2 parties with us........ and enjoyed 2 birthday cakes! and 2 special birthday dinners.

She also climbed on the school bus for the first time in over a year.  I loved THAT!  and I love her new school hours - from 9 - 4 (well those are the hours she's out of the house) Her old hours were 7:30 - 2:30 and for some reason 9 - 4 feels much much longer and I seem to be getting so much more done!  THAT lifts my spirits - I love a clean tidy house - and all the cleaning seems to be helping with my issue of loss of control.... which means I have been able to eat again... which is a very good thing!  Sir Steve has registered her in swimming classes and dance again.  She is back on the competitive dance team!!  Hopefully she'll get to compete this year.

I saw youngest daughter and grandkids a lot this summer - twice at the campsite and last weekend we ran down to Quebec to celebrate my middle grandson's birthday.  It was so good to be together as a family again.
(god only knows how long it will last - considering how the covid numbers are climbing again!! School has been in for only 4 days and we already have 2 schools with covid!! UGH!!)

There hasn't been a whole lot of 'fun and games' between Sir Steve and myself... no play and yeah no sexy times either.  Colour me sad.  BUT Sir Steve is dealing with some health issues ....... and it is time for my yearly cancer scan (this Friday) and that's always a major worry for me (and Sir Steve too)  There are days that my spirits plummet - cause ya know - I'd just like to get 'back to normal'..........(please tell me THIS isn't our new normal)

Now I think I have you all brought up to date on our life............ I promise to try posting something/anything more often............

Yooooohoooooooo

Well here I am in the country for the summer............

Update on the dog......... Sir Steve took her to the vet on Friday afternoon - explained about his dad and being at his mother's for the week......... they poked and prodded and took an ultra scan and urine samples.  They did some more poking and prodding and diagnosed stress!  They said when things calmed down Lady would return to normal.... unless she was starting a UTI cause there was some blood in the urine - though no white blood cells (which would indicate an infection)

So we all moved up to the country including the lil one. Lady slept most of Saturday and by yesterday was starting to act more like her devilish self.

We had a quiet weekend - what the lil one called 'family time'.  We roasted hot dogs over the fire - went swimming - played cards with eldest daughter and SIL..... and life started to feel normal again.

My anxiety levels are starting to go down.  Life is starting to look up ............

Thank you to everyone who popped by and continues to send positive vibes and hugs.. it helped me hang on ..... helped me stay focused .... and helped me to remember that 'this too will pass'.

I should be back to more regular postings here on The Journey - though it will most probably be mundane posts about life in the country...... and ya know what?? After the last couple of weeks - mundane sounds pretty damn good!

Update

We got home at 6:45 last evening...... after a 9 hour drive (it should only take 6 - 7 hours)

I can safely say it was the most anxiety ridden week of my life... it was exhausting... and very emotional.  Sir Steve's stepmother was in the anger stage of grief ........... it was awful.

Then during the week - we all got excited cause by the end of next week we will be fully vaccinated - BUT - youngest daughter has thrown up all sorts of road blocks to our visiting... I was devastated - cause all I want to do is go hug my grandkids

AND then..........

Sir Steve's dog was quiet and whining a lot... we thought it was because his stepmom has a new puppy who wouldn't leave our dog alone.

BUT no......

on Tuesday I found a wet spot on the rug..... Lady NEVER pees inside - when I cleaned it up - there was blood in it.  And the next day there was another huge circle on the rug - more blood.  Sir Steve called our vet and has an appointment today at 2:00 .......... and we are both really worried.  Google says it could be vaginitis  BUT it could also be cancer.  Trust me when I say this is the last thing we need to deal with right now - well any time - but now is not a good time.

Colour me anxious ...........

Taking Care of Business

Last week I had a couple of things come to my attention that I decided to handle as a post........... I was not ignoring those of you who asked me questions (grinning) just procrastinating.

Last week I talked about this online counselling program my doctor suggested I sign up for...... it is only for patients in Ontario.  Some of you showed some interest and asked for more information.  IF you still want it - I will gladly send it to you via email.  You can contact me via the contact form on the right hand side of this page :)  I promise to answer you as soon as I have 5 minutes to myself with my computer.

On a more personal note..........

Over the last couple of weeks or so...... an old friend showed up in my comment section.  Spankedhortic I was so delighted to see you again!!  Welcome back old friend :)  (if I may be bold enough to call you that) ........ do you have a blog up and running again?? If you do can you pop me a comment or email with the url -- I miss hearing your news ...........

Now it's time to go play with the lil one for a few hours before she heads back to Mommy dearest........

Updated

LOL day got me thinking....

The list of blogs I read was very very outdated.  Most of my list had dropped off the blog world.  And I had a whole new list of blogs to explore from the comments left on LOL day.

Yesterday I decided to update the "Blogs I read" list (found on the left side of your screen).  A couple of the blogs will never be deleted -- like Buffalo's link cause I can't bear to delete it...... and "Under his hand" cause hope springs eternal (small smile)

IF you don't want me to list your blog on my reading list -- let me know and I will remove it...... otherwise may I suggest -- if you have some time on your hands -- go read some new blogs (well new to me) ........ and tell them morningstar sent you -- you'll get a good seat !!

Setting the Story Straight........

I have received a couple of comments that I have decided not to post - I hope the commenters will forgive me.  But honestly I don't want to upset W more than I have already........right or wrong ... W is still the man who filled my life with joy and laughter and love for 15 years.

And as Reaperscreature said on "Maybe" you really only do have my version as to what has gone on here..words coming from pain and hurt....SO.. it really isn't fair to judge W based on that. In his defense he has been by my side through the good times and pretty awful beastly times - the medical tests, the surgeries, the pain, the fear...he held my hand and my heart.

Since the "Maybe" blog - W has given me back the money he promised and has moved to the other bedroom.  I went looking for apartments (again) and yes I did find one - a very nice one - in a residential area - all clean and sparkly - BUT - I am not ready to give up on THIS relationship - roommates and friends - without giving it a damn good try!!

I am hoping that we can find our way to roommates and friends.  To finding the laughter and the joy together again.  You know the very first thing I really liked about W was how he could make me laugh!!

OH we will never be Dom/sub again - never be lovers again - but being friends is a good place.  and I would like to see if we can get there again.

And there you have it.. an update....

Just remember...........

In case no one noticed...

I took a little holiday from blogville....

I was pouring my heart out.... words spilling over themselves on to the screen.......it was cathartic ... for me... maybe not for anyone else... but let's remember... this blog is my place to bare my feelings - happy, sad, scared, angry all of them......... and yeah usually I censor myself more than I have these last few weeks... BUT ya know what?? it's my life, my blog, my feelings - no matter how blunt or cold or cruel ...

Anyway......... after telling the world I felt betrayed there was some fall out... and truthfully I just went "what the fuck" and closed it down.....

I spent a goodly amount of time trying to sort things out - trying to pull it all together... and trying to find a way through all the words and emotions.

And then ........ I went to Ottawa for a week...

And I came home with a new job........ it's part time and contract work...... but hey it's a job........ and something completely different....... I will be working from home - doing some web design work...........

I have spent the last 3 days working without my coach holding my hand....... and loving it!!  definitely working more hours than I am gonna be paid for.... more hours than I should be....... but I am learning as I go... youtubing what I don't quite 'get' yet.... and slowly it's all coming together - like my life.

So .......... I am back........... and wobbling forward....

Back

I'm backkkkkk did you miss me??

Well that was an interesting/scary day yesterday!

I had to be at the hospital by 12 noon - really??!!!  lunch time??? So W got me checked in then I told him to leave and get some lunch.

Then I sat and sat and sat - all alone and developing more and more anxiety.  It was truly awful.  I kept giving myself this pep talk that lots of people have surgery by themselves without someone holding their hand...... didn't work.

Finally they came and got me and took me down to the operating room.  (the longest walk in history - I swear!!)  got me all set up on the operating table - IV in  - etc and then they all started looking for my surgeon.  (I swore she had taken a lunch break) .... then they decided my oxygen levels were low and slapped on oxygen and kept telling me to take deep breaths....... I have never had to have oxygen before and I was scared - what was happening???

Finally the surgeon came running into the OR slapping her mask on and said "let's get this done".... I was ordered to take more deep breaths of the oxygen - my anxiety levels were just about through the roof when PUFF - I was gone.......

I woke up in recovery in a panic.  I didn't know where I was - why I was there and who all these people were.  I could hear someone telling me not to sit up... but I sat up anyway.... I had the worst "fight or flight" response.. where ever I was - I was leaving.

Finally a female nurse showed up at my bedside and said "you don't remember anything do you?? (smart nurse) .. She patted my arm and said "it's ok it's ok - it happens sometimes that the patient gets amnesia "    She explained about the surgery and asked if I remembered what for....... I shook my head.. and started crying... I was so scared ..,.. amnesia is awful....... a big patch of your life gone........... I was struggling so hard to remember...

Then I remembered W checking me in......... and then i panicked cause maybe he wasn't here anymore .. wasn't here yet??? The nursing staff kept asking me questions.... and finally I started to remember ..... and the heart rate and blood pressure came down.  They came at me with more oxygen........ I backed up into the bed.. I HATE oxygen - hate how it smells - hate how it feels.  They said you need to have it for a bit.. i said I need to blow my nose - all that crying had stuffed me up...

I got to blow my nose - BUT - I also got to wear the oxygen.

Finally they brought me some water and arrowroot cookies.  I gobbled them down and drank the water....... then felt like I was gonna puke them all back.  I NEVER puke after surgery!!  I kept taking deep breaths to keep the nausea at bay - cause I knew if I started puking they weren't gonna let me go home.

I started pestering them "when can I leave? Is Warren here ?? does he have my clothes?? when can I leave"... Finally they wheeled me out of the recovery room to where my nurse and Warren were..... I got dressed and somehow managed to get home.  I could barely walk.. wanted to puke ... and felt like death warmed over.

I insisted on pizza (smart choice considering my sick stomach) and finally gave in to the heavy eye lids and fell asleep in my chair in the family room around 7:30.... woke up at 10 said I was going to bed.... and slept till 4:30 this morning.

oh yeah yesterday W said he was sure I had a cold which explained the low oxygen and stuffy nose.. I then remembered I had had a small sore throat on Sunday but it hadn't amounted to much so never mentioned it... Today I have such a stuffy nose!!  and cough... so yeah I guess maybe I did have a cold yesterday - or the beginnings of one...

Today I feel sore - more than sore actually- I feel like I have been raped (forgive my bluntness) ...... I feel worse than last year when they removed the cancer from my bladder!!!  (yeah it was exactly one year ago yesterday - aren't I the consistent one?!)

But it is over.  Now I get to wait for 3 weeks for all the results to come back .. and hopefully they will have an explanation as to why after 15+ years of being post menopausal - I am having periods again.   But for today I will nap and nibble and nap some more....... till my strength is back ...... and I feel like my old bratty self again.

Not far .......

I know I haven't been around much this week.  But trust me I am not far.  Just sitting here on this side of my pc staring at the screen willing the words to come.

BUT they aren't coming.

Maybe it's writer's block - maybe it's just spring - a full moon???(I know from the nonsense at school SOMETHING is wrong with the universe)

OR maybe...... and this is gonna sound downright stupid I am sure... I am overwhelmed by the feedback from the article I cross posted to Fetlife.  All I could think when all the "loves" and comments were flowing in for about 3 days was "I can never match this ever ever again".  Maybe my brain has believed the propaganda produced by my brain..... ya think???

Whatever the reason, whatever the cause - I promise I will be back when the fog clears and the words come tumbling out again..............

And now it's Saturday....

First - before I do anything else - I have to thank you all for your comments on yesterday's blog.  They all helped - they really did !!

My staff Christmas party was last evening - and honestly I just didn't feel much like partying........... I woke yesterday morning with a sore throat that slowly - as the day progressed - brought with it a sinus headache and achy bones.  (a hot bath and my pjs looked more welcoming than going out to party )

Then when I ran home for a quick lunch - there was a phone message.  The doctor's office that had screwed up on Wednesday had called.  They are going to fit me in on Monday morning !!!  I do NOT have to wait another month.

I went to the party and managed to sit with the 4 women I thoroughly enjoy working with.......... which went a long way to improving the mood of the party for me.  At one point I was standing up involved in a silly party game my "social committee" planned.  I looked up to see one of the 4 women standing at the head of the table getting everyone's attention.  She presented me with a Christmas card.  When I opened it I thought I was going to cry - inside they had placed money and a note that said "a little something to go towards another safe trip "home".  I was speechless.  (which is rare ) I barely choked out a thank you.  (gonna have to write some thank you notes for sure this weekend!!)

And so here it is Saturday morning - and I am sniffling and sneezing and feeling like crap - but with a softness inside.  A warm glow that maybe (just maybe) everything will be ok...........

What a difference a day makes !!!

10 days

Slowly and rather reluctantly - I have come to the conclusion that my summer break is almost over - 10 days left.

And I realized what a busy busy summer holiday it has been!!!  Virtually all of July was spent house hunting and organising........But it has felt as though W and I have spent the summer taking holiday trips.  (yeah yeah I know - house hunting isn't very often considered a holiday!  - but in many ways it has been for me)

And don't forget we had our 3 days in Kingston - on a busman's holiday of sorts - then this week we took a day trip to the States....... and now ..... W has planned a 3 day trip to our Nation's capital next week for my last full week of summer holidays !!!

I think the very best of it all was the time I got to spend with W............. more time than we usually get to spend together - and it has been wonderful !!  I feel so spoiled.

On the other hand - it is going to make his leaving on the 4th of September even more difficult to deal with............
On the other hand - it has shown me what full time retirement is going to feel like !!  and it will be amazing !!

Thank you W for making each day more interesting - more adventuresome - more challenging and more exciting.  I love you.

News and more news

One of the  problems with our house search this past couple of weeks is ........ we loved the house we lost........ and it was very difficult to find anything that even came close.

Add to that - I wanted a little quirky house - something a little less "cookie cutter" and with a whole lot more ....... je ne sais quoi ...... personality - I guess is what I was looking for.

We found this house down a street filled with cookie cutter houses.  The agent feels when they were developing the area - they slotted out land up and down the street for the bigger cookie cutter houses and then were left with this wee bit of land in the middle ..... and decided to build this wee little house.

The first time W and I saw it...it made me smile - hell it made me giggle.  To start - there is no front door.  The door is around the side of the house......... and for some reason the owners decided to put a deck and a "shadestructure" right at the door........ virtually in the middle of the driveway (go figure!!)

When you enter the house it feels a little bit like it is wrapping itself around you..... (which might just be a polite way of saying it is small (with a capital S)

On the second day of house hunting, both W and I wanted to go back to see this house and one other......... (the other one was a close second - it was much bigger and had virtually everything we were looking for - except as we later learned - a foundation problem)

When we walked in this house W said (with as much enthusiasm as he ever has) "I like the way this house flows"   I just liked the way it felt.

And talk about quirky - the living room has a chandelier hanging in the middle - the dining room has no ceiling fixture - the fireplace is stuck at the end of the wall - not really in the living room or the dining room............

The kitchen is large (considering the other rooms) but has virtually no counter space.....BUT it does have a dishwasher and I did ohhhhh so want a dishwasher!!

and the bedrooms??????? well the agent kept telling me we are spoiled here in Quebec with our large bedrooms .......... but I am really struggling with the small bedrooms....... one bedroom is so small W says it can only be an office..... I am thinking a small tv room with a daybed for guests.  The other guest room won't hold a chest of drawers ............ The master bedroom has a king size bed and a couple of small bureaus ......... but there's not a whole lot of room for anything else......

The basement has a good sized "family room".  This room will hold the train layout - and I am thinking the office that W wants to put upstairs.... and maybe another TV .........

I don't know if you remember the other house?....... but it had a beautiful backyard complete with landscaping and........ a pool !! This house - the back yard is ........ barren......... big and barren...............

Now I am trying to be positive and say it is a blank slate for me to work with........ no pool - W doesn't see the need for - or want - a pool - but I am thinking maybe a water feature??? a fountain or something....... and flower beds...... and maybe even a zen garden of sorts..........

I've been working on that in my head (sort of) ......... and have come up with these ideas for the backyard

a touch of the oriental..........
with a water feature of some sort

and if it was at all possible a pagoda style
gazebo that I could hang my mesh swing in - to curl
up and read in......... preferably by the water feature

Can you see my dream???

Now to the practical stuff - yesterday we had the building inspection.......... and yeah the house passed - but not with flying colours.  The roof needs to be reshingled ASAP.... the attic needs more insulation - and something done to improve air circulation as there is a problem with moisture ...........

The driveway with the deck and shadestructure has to be reworked.  The deck needs to come down and be moved (if possible) to the back yard....... the driveway needs to be extended into the backyard a bit and then W would like a garage built (me too actually - there is some doubt the driveway - as it is now - would hold two cars)

We came home last night pooped and excited - we have finally bought a home in Kingston !!!  Move in date for W - Sept 5th.

Just heard from W.......

He just heard the sellers have agreed to knocking some money off the price to pay for about 1/4 of the roof - so now it is OFFICIAL - we DO have our new home in Kingston!!!

A funny thing happened on the way to.......

Actually it was neither the "forum" or the "asylum" but a funny thing did happen on the way to the munch............

But we have to start at the beginning.........

So going back to Tuesday..............

I had been busy getting bits and pieces done around here - like taking my car in for servicing - and then the netbook went tits up so I had to take it in......... I was just meandering through my days with nary a care because............... BECAUSE.......... W had said we wouldn't be going back to Kingston for more house hunting/shopping before NEXT week.

Then I am not entirely sure what happened - except my whole world got turned upside down.  Sometime Tuesday evening I read a cc'd email between W and the agents....... in it it said we would be arriving on Wednesday evening and would be ready to see houses on Thursday.  I shrugged it off figuring (see me not use the word "assume"??) that W was referring to Wednesday NEXT week.

However I was alert enough to fire off a quickie to him asking for clarification on which WEDNESDAY he was referring to.............. right -  you guessed it (and shame on you if you didn't get it right !!)  He meant THIS Wednesday .

While I was spluttering at this end - running a multitude of "must do" lists through my head - W added that there was a munch on the Wednesday night - we would do that as well.  Which meant I had better go RSVP for it - before I pulled together a hasty list of properties to see on the Thursday and send it off to both W and the agents.

By the time my head hit the pillow on Tuesday evening - I had RSVP'd (without paying any attention) for the munch - had pulled together 8 more houses to see on Thursday... packed a bag and fired off an email to my girls telling them I would be away in Kingston again.

We left here around 2ish on Wednesday and drove the 3 hours up to Kingston - checked into the hotel and then after a very brief rest we headed downtown to attend this munch / slosh - whatever the hell you want to call it.

As W and I were winding our way through tourists trying to find our way to the Irish pub - I asked innocently enough if he knew the name the reservation was in............ no he didn't.  Well we finally found the Irish pub (name in Gaelic and impossible to pronounce or spell) and wove our way through the terrasse tables - into the inside and wandered a bit aimlessly through the inside trying to spot a familiar face (yeah right !!)

Finally a waitperson asked us if we needed help.  W announced we were meeting up with a group - didn't know - couldn't remember - the reservation name.  The waitperson looked at us as though we were speaking a foreign language - there were NO reservations for that evening, but she suggested we wander up stairs and see if our friends were there .............

We didn't see one kinky perverted person in the lot - until - as we were heading back to the door I recognised a woman from one of the munches we have been to....... (I think it was the lunch one we went to last week) and I marched up and said "Hi" ........ she seemed surprised pleased to see us and after the usual mundane hellos - etc......... I asked when the munch was.  "Slosh" she corrected (they appear to be a bit anal about terminology in Kingston) and said it was Thursday evening NOT Wednesday evening.  WTF??!!

I looked at W - but one should always remember Rule #1 in BDSM - the Dom is always right.  Of course it had been my fault that I had not double checked a) the reservation name and b) the date of this so-called slosh.

We left the Irish pub and worked our back to an English Pub where we grabbed some food (not that good either) and then headed back to our hotel.  (The fun and games that happened in the hotel room will be disclosed in tomorrow's blog)

We did however ........... finally....... make it to the slosh on Thursday evening............... met a whole bunch of new folks and a couple of familiar faces.  Had another less then stellar meal - and are fast learning the politics of this new BDSM community - feelings appear to get hurt just as easily - noses out of joint  just as easily - in Kingston, as in Montreal.  oh joy!!

It wasn't quite the comedic relief of a "Funny thing happened on the way to the Forum" but it was a bit humorous in a kinky sort of way.............

Colour me Blue

We heard at 9 p.m. last night that the deal we had in the works for our lil unconventional house has fallen through.......... the sellers lost out on the house they wanted.

Funny enough.... W said when I posted here that we had found something - that I had jinxed it...... and I guess I did.

So from now on not a word from me on house hunting............ not a word until the deal is signed sealed and delivered.

So now it is back to the drawing board.............

Almost ours.........

Well W and I are home again (for a few days) .......... I don't think either of us got much sleep over the last 48 hours in Kingston....... my bed felt so damn good when I collapsed into it last night........ managed to sleep 8 straight hours and woke feeling refreshed - cheeky - and full of piss and vinegar.

So here's the update on the house...........................

W reminded me (being the eternal realist) that the house technically isn't OURS yet.... there are some conditions that have to be met...... 1) the seller has to find a new house - they have till this Sunday (and btw - the sellers said THIS Sunday - which makes me think they already know where they are going)  ...... and 2) the house has to pass a home inspection - which will take place either Wednesday or Thursday next week (another trip to Kingston)

But - me - being the eternal optimist (or delusional - which ever fits the bill - wiggle wiggle ) I have already started placing furniture - and redecorating..........

Wanna take a "walk" around the new place with me???
(warning - from here on it is  picture intensive!)

When you walk in the front door the living room (seen above) is on your left........ that is a gas fireplace - done in distressed wood.  I can see our sofa along the same wall they have theirs..... but I am going to put one wing backed chair and two lazy boys clustered under the window....... and with any luck one of our TV's will fit over the mantle piece much like they have done.

To the right as you enter - is the kitchen.  It is small compared to what I am used to....... but I think I am loving the challenge of making it workable....... it is too damn cute not to try !!!

There is no formal dining room......... this is the area I have to work with...........

Anyone know of anyone who needs/wants a virtually new formal dining room set..... complete with china cabinet and table with 2 leaves and 4 chairs??? Gonna need something smaller and less overbearing for this eating space..............

Back to the front door.......... and looking straight ahead are the stairs going up to the bedrooms..............

It's actually bad feng shui to have the front door facing stairs..... (le sigh) but I can't move either the front door OR the stairs..........

OH wait......... I forgot .......... here's the ceiling found in both the living room and the kitchen.............

Have you ever seen anything like that before??? I absolutely love it !!

Ok....... so let's go upstairs and take a look at the 3 bedrooms........... apparently Kingston homes don't offer big bedrooms like I am used to here in Quebec.......

I will probably use this one as the "guest room"

Then this is the "middle" bedroom - and truthfully I see this room with a day bed and maybe some small bookshelves and a television ..........

And finally this is the Master bedroom..................

oh yeah - here's the bathroom....... but it is next to impossible to get a picture of any bathroom - never mind this one which is long and narrow...........

Now if you go back into the kitchen - there are stairs to the family room....... which will be our family/tv room and combined "train room"............

This end will be the family/tv room............

Yes there is yet another gas fireplace downstairs - and built in bookshelves.

And that end will be the train room.  The laundry room is directly behind the "train room" I have my fingers crossed I'll be able to get in and out of it (cheeky grin).  Otherwise we will be looking for a laundromat.

Now back upstairs and out the kitchen door - to yet another area that challenges my imagination...........

Honestly I can see a small desk and computer set up along the wall...... with a bench and god only knows what else........... like I said - it really inspires my imagination!!
(ummmmmmm nice and long....... we could put a portable cross at one end to use when we wish to play no???)

And then outside to the backyard..........................

The hot tub is going ......... and I think - with W's blessing - that in the hole left - I am going to create a zen garden........... complete with white sand and a rock..........

This will be the patio area -  and not so secret a garden......... but I am toying with the idea of having a pagoda style shade area built around it............

And then............. the piece de resistance...........

The pool !!!!!!!  W says only nude bathing allowed............. gonna have to buy loads of sun block then

There is a garage - that will do some double duty as storage for kitchen supplies and the usual boxes of stuff one never knows what to do with..........

And that completes our tour of the (soon to be)  new home in Kingston.............

Success

Wow... that was 2 grueling days of house hunting.  And - some of the crap we saw - you wouldn't believe!!!

There was one house that we speculated was owned by drug dealers - or it was a "grow op" .... with a Jaq in the garage and no furniture in the house!!! There was the house that smelled of cat pee from one end to the other.  The house that smelled musty and damp  - and when we opened a door to "storage" we found the wet cement and mold.  And all of them asking much much more than our little house in the burbs.

So at 6 p.m last evening W started the"negotiations".  By 9:30 p.m. it was over and we are the proud new owners of the little house we saw on Day 1.

I have loads of pictures of it......... but it will all have to wait till I get home.  The important thing is........... we have our new home!

Shopping

Have I ever told you folks - I HATE shopping??!!!!

We looked at 8 homes yesterday from 3:00 - 7:00 .. by the time we landed up back at the real estate offices - I could hardly think straight!!!  Out of the 8 we saw 2 hopefuls..   and over night we have whittled that down to one hopeful  It is very cute and has almost everything we want - and somethings we never dreamed of (like a swimming pool) and room for me to put in a Zen garden ............

that's the one in first place!

Our agent has some more houses for us to see today..........

I may be "delusional" (cheeky grin) BUT I have a good feeling about finding our dream home this week................

Breaking News
