Celebration......

We had an amazing Easter Celebration...........

Before the uncollaring..... W and i had gone shopping and i found these gorgeous hand made chocolate lollipops and we had plans to work them into the center piece. i almost gave up on the idea of using them.......... but then decided not to alter my plans............i had a chat with a local florist.. explained what i wanted to do....... and they created the above arrangement with spots for the chocolate lollipops....

can you spot the candy???

here's a close up.......

i think i did the meal justice.......... traditional English dinner...... served at 1:00.. roast beef, yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes and veggies. (sorry no pics of the dinner i was too busy serving it up)

And an Easter egg cake for dessert - despite smart assed comments of it being a football - i was pleased with the results (considering it was my first ever Easter egg cake)

After stuffing ourselves the kids went outside to play - it was damn hot today - more like summer than spring......... "pig pen" found a worm and much to everyone's surprise picked the slimy thing up !!!

And i just have to brag a little bit....... here's the newest addition to the family....... honestly doesn't he look like a china doll???

Sorry for boring you all with family pictures......... but i can't always be doing self analysis (cheeky grin) There is time enough for that.

What wonderful pictures! Your grandkids are beautiful. These pics are not boring in the slightest. It is an insightful treat for us to get to see them.

  2. As Tom said, the pictures aren't boring and it was good for you to enjoy Easter with the family. Celebrating it with famlly makes it special and it's a time of renewal for you and your family.

Of course, on this side of the pond it's not Easter yet but it's good to hear you enjoyed the holiday.
