Which One are You?

I think we all know someone from each category.... I know I do!  One person jumps out from my memory - this person could only see the thorns...... I often thought about how unhappy they were..... and it made me sad.

I think I am more the wildflower and less the thorns - at least I try to see the wildflowers more..........

Which one are you?

  1. Interesting quote, if I'm honest, I would have to say I often tend towards the more pessimistic side so my initial reaction would probably be to only see the thorns.

    1. mmmmmmmm I'm wondering Roz - were you always a 'thorn' person or more so since the pandemic? I think I am more of a thorn person since the pandemic than before.......

  2. I think I'm usually looking for wildflowers. I assume good things will happen and they usually do. If I don't like someone it's because they have worked hard to get me to dislike them.

    1. nodding I'm not as good as you re disliking folks - I tend to dislike someone based on my gut feelings.... that's not to say they can't win their way into my good books - but unfortunately they have to start from a negative position.....

  3. I will say that having an attitude of Gratitude for all that life is treating you to helps keep a positive "wildflower" perspective.

  4. Strangely, perhaps, this reminded me of the best pre-internet, kinky resource, that I ever owned. The book, Screw The Roses, Send Me The Thorns. Kind of flipped things around in my head. As well as weeds are the most boring part of my job. Send me the thorns, if you want to see me smiling, happily. :)

    1. OMG I completely forgot that book Prefectdt! I had a copy and read it from cover to cover... in BDSM context yes I would rather have the thorns as well :)

    2. I remember seeing that book too and wish I had bought it. I think I'm beyond needing it now.

  5. I think i have moved from being a thorn person to a wildflower person. The pandemic has made me more optimistic which is strange.
