 Off for my shot this morning.......

Stay Tuned..............

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was so impressed with how smoothly it went....... line ups to get in.. line ups to register.. line ups to get vaccine....... BUT I was in and out in 45 minutes!!!
This vaccination center will do 1,017 shots just today!!!
Told this health worker he gives the best shots - didn't feel it go in!!!
4 months till the 2nd shot
Life is good when you start the journey to full immunization!
  5. It certainly feels like a step forward in the right direction, I have my second vaccine on the 29th of this month. How are you feeling? any side effects? I felt sick and arm throbbed but otherwise ok, hopefully you will feel fine.
  7. congratulations!! yes vaccines are very quick. In my case, I was done in 10 minutes (a queue of two, including me!). My husband was even faster. He was quite stunned at the efficiency, despite my warning him - he'd gone weighed down with a bag with everything he might need for a long wait and didn't need any of it! They really don't want people hanging around in waiting rooms though. Understandable!
    1. ahhhhhhhh I had forgotten about the small needle... I didn't feel anything! You know how sometimes the serum burns going in?? Nothing nada zilch! and hardly any swelling at the injection site .. it really was amazingly easy!
  9. Mum had her second jab today. She is fine and frolicking! I'm so glad you've gotten your dose. I felt a huge sense of relief (unexpectedly!) when I was done with my jabs. LIke a huge weight lifted.
    Don't forget (for future jabs and those who haven't had theirs) to move your arm in the first couple of minutes after getting the injection. This helps to disperse the medication so that the immune cells don't all rush to one spot and cause the soreness that we hear so much about. If you DO get sore, a cool washcloth every hour for 5 minutes will help, as will an OTC painkiller like paracetamol / tylenol.
  10. nodding I mentioned your advise in today's blog Fondles - Half way there - it didn't help me much - or maybe it did and would have been much worse?! but it's such a relief to be on the road to full immunization that a tender/sore arm seems a small price to pay :)
