Best of Times - Worst of Times

The weather man gave us a spring break gift on the weekend - well on Saturday - the sun shone brightly and the temperatures were summer like - 24 Celsius (75 Fahrenheit)
I sat outside with my book soaking up the warmth and sunshine...... it felt SO good!!

Sunday was sunny but not as warm....... didn't matter cause Sir Steve (and I) had plans!! UNTIL - I went down for the count - something I ate did NOT agree with me - le sigh...........

I also marvelled at how the lil one's other family teach her by example. (and raise my blood pressure!!)  In case you didn't know - we are under lock down rules - STAY AT HOME! - so in the interest of teaching the lil one how one respects rules - they packed up the family and went off to another province!  to their campgrounds on Saturday!

Today  I am feeling much better - just in time for Sir Steve to go back to work... le sigh again.  BUT I don't have to watch the clock - or worry about school work... YAY!!  oh the chores must still get done... but no pressure ya know??!!  AND that is a very good thing...

  1. We sat outside reading on Saturday too. So nice to be able to sit in the sun, then in the shade when it got too hot.

  2. Your Saturday sounds lovely - but being sick on Sunday, horrible. That's awful even if you didn't have plans. Not much you can say about the other family except like the cartoon says, they are the very one keeping decent people locked down.

    1. I think what p*sses me off the worst is that they are always pointing fingers on FB saying how good they are -- and how so and so is breaking the rules...... I just want to scream at them ya know??
      OR
comment loud and proud on FB... but I won't.... cause I don't want anymore trouble :(

  3. Oh gawds it's awful how people who are doing the right thing are "suffering" becos the idiots insist on being idiots. It really gets to me. At times like this I am very thankful my govt came down really hard on those who were "caught" out and about with no masks on, or flouting safe-distancing rules.

I'm glad you got your one day of sun, and what a pity about the food poisoning. It sucks when an unexpected hiccup upsets one's plans for "fun".

    1. I'm up and about today... better than usual - when I eat foods that I'm not supposed to it usually takes at least 48 hours so counting myself lucky!!

AND it's sunny again today - wonderful spring weather !

  4. It was gorgeous Sat. Sunday was holy windy! And my neighbour who whined about no Easter with her daughter from across the river had her over for dinner yesterday 🙄. Good thing I didn't feel like sitting in our deck, I don't have a poker face. Lol

    Enjoy your quiet week!

    1. oh gawd I hear you about no poker face... I am the worst!

I'm making up for Sunday today - went to the grocery store to get 'essentials' - grinning but not the shop in our area - at the one across town that carries a lot of different stuff and I never seem to have time to go normally.

Then I went and got my car washed - by machine - stay in your car car wash. It just felt so good ya know?! Now I'm home again for the week.. so much for extravagant living on spring break (cheeky grin)

  5. My adult daughter wants to strangle these idiots going on as if Covid doesn't exist and they're not the ones spreading it. It is no joke what it is doing to the mental state of those of who are making the most sacrifices by following guidelines (although God forbid we actually know what those are in the selfish United States let alone respect them and follow them.) Everybody and their individual rights. Good grief, not during a pandemic! Jack asses!

I am sorry you were so ill this weekend as to not get to spend kinky time with Sir Steve. Maybe you can sneak in some time in the evenings or in between his working hours. I'm glad that other than your chores, you have some time to do your own thing in your home. You deserve some peace and quiet. Hugs, Windy

P.S. I laughed at yours and Willie's comments about no poker face. Sometimes I do, but when I am very angry and disgusted with someone, not so much! It has gotten me into hot water a couple of times. Oh well, the person was an overall pain in my ass anyway, so good riddance!
