First I had to crawl into the "crawl space" and find all the boxes of Christmas decorations (this crawl space - if anyone is interested - takes up about 2/3 of the basement - WHY someone thought it was a good idea to decrease the basement by 2/3 for storage is beyond me!!)
I am not going to give you the grand tour all at once... cause ya know I don't always have something interesting and important to share on The Journey - and this will help fill in days
The Front Door - entry to Whoville... with my Whoville Wreath (and if I say it is a Whoville anything - IT IS!!! use your imagination - cheeky grin)
This stands directly in front of the front door - and therefore - is the first thing you see when you enter.............
And now individual shots of all my Grinches.........
(my youngest daughter asked if we had bought out the Hallmark Store - no most of these have been collected over the years for W.. who is my very own Grinch)
bought this year ......
bought this year for MY Grinch
W ran out to buy a couple more Grinches when I realized I didn't have enough to do the bottom shelf
my all time favourite one... it talks and says
“Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before! What if
Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if
Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!”
And in the final analysis Christmas really should mean " a little bit more" whatever that more is to you !
I love it...can't wait to see more..

I love your "whoville!"
ReplyDeleteWe have a crawl space too, and I hate it! They are usually found in split-level houses. The part of the basement under the second floor is normal height, but the part under the ground floor level is shorter. I suppose the alternative would be to dig the basement down further.
ReplyDeleteLove your door wreath!
