Big Night

We love to plan 'adventures' for the lil one.  Last year our city held a "Holiday Sparkle" The city put up a light show in a nearby conservation area.  We had a wonderful time driving through checking out all the lights.  We were in lock down and it just seemed to help us feel a little normal and a little Christmasy.

A couple of weeks ago I read that the Holiday Sparkle event was coming back this year.  BUT instead of driving through the conservation area - they would be setting up an interactive light show down by the Band Shell.  Sir Steve and I talked about it and I immediately signed up for tickets for last night.

We bundled up in layers and layers - cause it's been frigid - and off we went.  We spent a glorious hour wandering round....... drinking hot chocolate and warming ourselves by the fires.

They even had igloos (to rent by the hour) ...........

On the way home we picked up supper and ate it in front of a Christmas movie.  What a great Christmas Adventure it was!

  2. I'm intrigued. What would people do inside an igloo for an hour? My thoughts are taking a naughty turn here.

    1. LOL trust me Hermione we did too - have naughty thoughts - especially when we saw one with 'beds' in them (actually small benches covered in quilts)

  3. That was great. There are no little ones in our lives these days and I know having her with you had to make it even better.

  5. IGLOO! Love it! and love the pics. It all looks so magical. There's something lovely about having the right "look" to a Christmas light up. I'll post a pic of my reindeer soon. It's not the same when the ground and trees aren't winter-coloured tho.
