The Work Continues

Despite Mother Nature's best effort to keep  us out of the yard this weekend - Sir Steve did get out both Saturday and Sunday for a few hours.  Mostly we're just at the clean up stage.... the yards haven't had any care for more than a few years......

There were 3 sheds in the yard - plus a lot of dead grape vine plants /overgrown plants  and trees that are in desperate need of pruning and loving.  Sir Steve removed a small broken shed .. spread a pile of sand that was sitting in the middle of the yard... dug up thistles and pruned down some suckers off some of the trees..... and before we knew it we had another HUGE pile of garbage to go to the dump.

BUT the yard is looking a whole lot tidier and maybe there's some hope for the back yard yet!!

Other than that we had a quietish weekend - ordered in dinners  - lots of TV and early to bed.....

AND before you know it - it's MONDAY again

  1. Well done on the yard work, plus managing to also have some relax time and early nights.

It's Monday night here, actually early Tuesday morning. Monday was a holiday here I spent a lot of it mowing the lawn tidying outside too. I'm not looking forward to work again in a few hours :(

    1. I'm guessing your getting ready to put your gardens to bed for the winter....... while we're trying to wake ours up :)

  2. Our weather was so perfect this weekend I won't even brag about it - but I've put in an order for that for the whole summer. Sounds like you're turning that back yard into YOUR yard and I know you're going to love it.

  3. Your yard looks like it has potential. Some TLC and dreaming up a few planing plans, should do the trick. Just sit in it a bit, when the weather is nice, and note down where you tend to be looking the most. That is where to put the pretty stuff.

    1. That's my plan - wait a year - BUT this year we do want to get some top soil and grass seed and see if we can't get some grass to grow. Seemed like a good start :) I do have plans - OH do I have plans :)

  4. If i could I would send you our sunny weather. April is the hottest month in where I live so we've been getting a LOT of sunlight. Some of my plants are suffering for it and I'm taking a few pots in and out on a daily basis to save them from getting scorched! The yard looks like it's getting somewhere pretty awesome!
