feeling a little brighter today

BUT be warned this post might be the things nightmares are made from.........

So I have finished this round of radiation...... and if I could I would do a happy dance.

I thought you might want a few more details....... about radiation of the brain.  They made me a mask - that was put on each time and screwed to the table so I couldn't move my head.  Each and every time they fastened it to my face I could see my reflection in the over head machine - and each and every time it scared me.........This morning I took pics of this mask - before the lil one threw it in the garbage can for me.......... damn it felt good to toss it !!!

and if you can keep reading ....... cause there is some beauty at the end.........

on my last day of radiation I received a delivery from the florist - from ..... I couldn't believe it......... my hairdresser!!!!

  1. It must have felt terribly good to toss that smirking mask in the garbage :) The flowers are lovely. That hairdresser's a keeper! *hugs*

  2. So good to hear from you Morningstar. You are forefront in my mind and I'm always wondering how you are doing.

Wow at the mask. I agree, it must have felt so good to toss it. Your hairdresser is such a sweetheart, the flowers are beautiful. So lovely of her, they must have given you a real boost.

I think all your readers are cheering for you from the sidelines and wishing we could do more - I know I am. It is just hard to know what to say. Please know that you have my best hopes for a speedy recovery.

Thank Sir Steve for me when you can.

I am thrilled you are done this session. That is exciting in and of itself....although the Jason mask (grinning or not) is freaky and I am glad you had litl one throw it out.

Lots of hugs, love and anything else you need.

  5. I'll throw in a little happy dance for you. Love the flowers, the mask not so much.

  7. Perhaps you should have donated that mask to your local am-dram society. It looks like it would make a great prop for a horror play.
Love the arrangement of those flowers. They look so nice.

  8. Being strapped down and not being able to move, outside of any kink okay, sounds nightmarish even without that mask. Here's to it accomplishing what it needed to do!.

Your hairdresser is a real sweetheart.
I hope you can enjoy the sun in your face for few days.

  9. How lovely that you got a floral arrangement from your hairdresser! It's beautiful. I'm glad you are able to toss that mask away. It looks absolutely ghastly - for what it represents more than anything.

The flowers are beautiful, Lovely of your hairdresser to send them.
I's so happy that you can throw that awful mask away.

    Love and hugs,

  11. Ugh! That mask is horrible. But the flowers are gorgeous. Such a kind gesture.
