Update - may be a trigger

Actually anything I write from now on may be a trigger just so you know.

I am still in hospital and the diagnosis was shocking... Stage 4 lung cancer. I have been through every test known to man. I am tired but I am also a little feisty.

I had a permanent chest tube put in last Thursday.  That was the beginning of rhe 'fun'. The nurse asked if all my jewelry was off and I said everything but my genital piercing. I wish you could have seen her reaction!

She swung around from the computer and looked directly at me for the first time and exclaimed so everyone there could hear "You're joking right?! A GENITAL PIERCING!!!!!!!"

I assued her I was not joking. She entered the information and eventually the procedure went ahead. But I was reeling a bit.  I felt embarrassed and humiliated.

There is more to this story but that's it for today.

  3. I want to give you a hug, but I'm guessing Covid restrict prohibit that. You have made yourself known to these people and I'm guessing some of them are pulling for you even harder. You are interesting! Please continue with your updates when you feel like writing. You're in my prayers.

  5. I will add - I laughed at the nurse's reaction - I had a similar reaction when I went for my lumpectomy 2 years ago - I couldn't get the damn rings out (4 - in my labia)- and had to admit to that.

  9. It was a real blow, to hear that news, morningstar. I hope that the hospital is giving you the best treatment and advice, that is available. Perhaps you can give us some updates later, but not until you are good and ready to. Know that myself and a lot of other people around the world, have you in our thoughts, right now.

  10. Oh MS I'm so sorry about your diagnosis. And also how the nurse reacted. Perhaps she thinks only Millenials have crotch jewelry - regardless it was not professional and I'd feel the same way you did.

You're in a good city for what needs to be done. I'll send out positive vibes your way.

  11. Well hell! I come over every day hoping to see that you're home and everything is back to normal. I'll still keep an eye open for the good news :-) My thoughts are with you and your family. And don't let the nurse bother you. I've envied your jewelry for years and think you're massive cool for having it :-)

Words fail me, such awful things should not happen to a lovely soul such as yourself. Please do know that your online friends and admirers are rooting for you and hoping for the very best outcome for you and your family. Sir Steve should take the nurse over his lap for her unprofessional attitude. Sadly I have seen the same when I, in my mid fifties, mention that I have one at medical appointments! Please save your strength as much as you can though we will all hope for updates. Hugs to you, Sir Steve, the little one and your girls.

Know we are praying and you have this...because you are strong woman with too much personality to let something like C get you down. Hugs, my friend.
