Day 3 of recovery

I am so lucky to have W nursing me to health........ honestly I couldn't be luckier ........

BUT there is another being in my life who has been fussing and bitching and talking to me and following me every where I go........... to the sofa in the living room - to the recliner in the TV room... even to the bathroom.  She tells me when it is time for bed - even if I don't agree (grinning)

Right now as I type this she is sprawled out across the floor in the doorway to the dining room - in case I try to sneak past..................

Who is this Nurse Nightingale??

None other than Miss Ashes - the independent - "I don't need you or know you" cat.

See her curled up on the top of the sofa - that was Tuesday morning after my first sleepless / pain filled night...............

She has even condescended to lie across my lap when I am curled up on the recliner ... something she has NEVER done ( that is - cuddling up on me or W for that matter - just too independent to show that kind of attachment - well until now)

with attention like this - from Missy and W - I should be back up and running in no time........ well ok probably in 6 weeks as predicted by the surgeon.

There is something wonderfully honest about the affection that our pets give us. When God Emperor of the Universe (our ginger tom) or the Princess (the tortie girl) descend to our lap for a cuddle they are getting what they want by giving that warmth and affection.

Hopefully yours will purr you back to good health quickly.

Yes, cats--even aloof ones--seem to know when you need extra care and attention. So glad that W is there for you. You sound better, your spirit strong. Sending healing thoughts your way...
