Boring.....

Nothing much new around here - recuperation is slow but steady - so far this week I have ................

1) dusted the main level of the house (W swept the kitchen)
2)  made all the meals
3) gone shopping for groceries two days in a row
4)  played with my new macro lens - wanna see???

My new hanging basket of geraniums (red of course)

without the macro lens I took some shots of the back garden and the spring bulbs......

my daffodils look like soldiers all lined up at attention - hopefully they will eventually ALL burst into bloom together....

Miss Ashes is lying in wait for the rabbit who steals my bulbs and strips the bark off the new trees...............

Only problem  was - Peter Rabbit was in my neighbour's FRONT yard ................

AND he hops a whole lot faster than Missy can run...............

photographic note - runs faster than I can pan - AND faster than my shutter speed!!

  1. for next time you want to photograph something like a rabbit - do you have a sports setting on your camera? Mine does, I think its called that. you basically hold the button down and it focuses and takes a burst of photographs, as long as you're holding the shutter down. it means that somewhere in that group of photos you should get a photograph that you can use... just a thought.

  2. I am impressed with everything you're managing while recuperating Don't forget to rest in there. With everything you've listed as doing, it doesn't sound as much like rest. (It may be less than you were doing prior to surgery or the cancer diagnosis, but it's still a lot of physical activities.)

I love all the photos with the new lens! Have you thought of taking photos of the same buts on the gernaiums over a course of hours or days as they open up? (I just thought of it looking at that first photo in this post.) Miss Ashes does not look impressed, but I'm sure she feels there are better ways to be worshiped ;) (I strongly believe that all cats think they are gods/goddesses and that humans are only good as worshipers). The bunny is cute, even though he has no sense of propriety when it comes to eating your bulbs.

  3. Morningstar, You are one busy lady. Thanks for all the beautiful shots, I love the blurred bunny. I know with Keth's suggestion you will get some interesting animal pictures (Miss Ashes truly will be of no help). I also liked Alyson's suggestion. Can't wait to see what's next. Hugs, Sharon
